This chronological history of my family begins with my great-grandparents. Orazio Lombardi and Ludovica Cervi married on 13 October 1904 in the Kingdom of Italy.¹

This was written by my father, Ralph Lombardi, probably in 1970.

My American ancestress was a victim of the Russian flu pandemic. Ellen Beech was born in 1804 in New Jersey.¹ She was widowed in 1874.² She died on 1 April 1890 in Michigan, and her death was due to influenza.¹ She was buried in Mich.³

I was indexing Roman birth records, for a genealogy class, when I found a mother named Maddalena Illuminati. Surnames don't get much better than that.
